Find our table

Look for the Stryde Research banner among the vendor and sponsor tents. We will have a lupus walk survival kit at our table: sunscreen, cooling towels, hand fans, water bottles, pens, and a few other giveaways. Some of our team will walk the full route, and others will staff the table all morning, so there is always someone there to talk to.

You do not need to be a patient, a physician, or connected to clinical research to stop by. Everyone at the walk is welcome at our table.

Why we are there

Stryde runs embedded clinical trial sites inside independent specialty practices, including rheumatology, one of our two core therapeutic areas. We currently support two ongoing Sjögren’s studies, a related autoimmune condition, which puts our team in regular contact with patients managing lupus and similar diagnoses.

Lupus can take years to diagnose and looks different in nearly every patient it affects. Showing up at events like this one, outside of a clinic setting, is one way we support the community we work alongside every day.

Who’s attending from Stryde

Four members of our patient recruitment team will be at the table and on the walk route.

Moraima Avalos leads patient recruitment at Stryde as Recruiting Manager, working out of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She’s the one connecting patients with the right studies and keeping recruitment moving day to day, work she brings a genuinely upbeat, all-in energy to.

Laila Harruna works in clinical research and recruitment at Stryde, with a public health background. That mix of hands-on recruitment work and public health training shapes how she approaches patient outreach.

Noah Reese is a Patient Recruiter at Stryde. He trained through the CRC Academy, with hands-on experience across the full trial lifecycle. He is excited to start his career with Stryde, and is motivated to help as many patients possible learn about clinical research.

Alma Carrillo is a Patient Recruiter at Stryde. She’s motivated by the direct impact recruitment work has on getting patients access to research that could help them.

These four will be at the table for the full event, and more team members are going to show up on the day of the event!

Follow along

We will post photos and updates from the day on our social channels using #EndLupus, and we will publish a recap here on the blog once the walk wraps. If you cannot make it in person, follow along online. If you are in Dallas on the 26th, come find us at the table.
